We started as a small team of home décor enthusiasts in Castro Valley, California, frustrated by the lack of quality picture frames that combined genuine craftsmanship with reasonable prices.

We spent months sourcing materials — testing real hardwoods, evaluating different glass types, and comparing mat board quality — before launching our first collection. The response was overwhelming. Customers loved that our frames used real glass (not acrylic), solid wood (not MDF veneer), and acid-free mat boards that protect photos from yellowing and UV damage over time.
